Why This Is So Expensive & What I Love About It
Humans were known to first rely upon the sun and the moon in order to tell the time. Eventually, our ancestors moved onto the use of obelisks, candle clocks, water clocks, and hourglasses filled with sand to keep track of 12 hour periods more efficiently.
It wasn’t until the 10th century when gear-driven mechanisms took over. We all know, however, that these timepieces weren’t exactly built to be toted around with ease. Lots of these old time-telling devices were bulky in nature, and it wasn’t until the 17 century when the first ever pocket watch was introduced to consumers. The later invention of pendulum clocks further fine-tuned timepieces and resulted in the creation of the watch we sport on our wrists today.
Watches come in a multitude of styles, unique functions, and varying price points. While it’s easy to find fashionable watches that are inexpensive, the quality of which leaves much to be desired. For this reason, many individuals are more than happy to invest in luxury pieces that are not only stylish but will stand the test of time. One such stunning example is the Vacheron Constantin Harmony Dual Time women’s watch. So, what can we expect from such an expensive timepiece?
At First Glance: What Comes With The Vacheron Constantin Harmony Dual Time
They say, “don’t judge a book by its cover.” Well, when it comes to luxe goods, you should definitely admire the beauty and artistry that is put into the packaging. Take for instance the Vacheron Constantin Harmony Dual Time watch, this beauty comes in a solid matte black packaging. The lid slides out to reveal a velvety cloth, when peeled away this then showcases an inner box. Like the one before it, this innermost shell is in the form of another black wood box but this time around, a small display window sits smack in the middle, housing the Vacheron Constantin Harmony.

As you flip open the lid you get front row seats to the best view – the Vacheron Constantin Harmony Dual Time in rose gold. Nestled snugly in a watch holder, the upper tray pulls out neatly to expose a lower chamber where a sleek travel case can be taken out and used separately. Made of fine leather, the hardware within the travel case is rose gold to flawlessly match the timepiece. Several lined compartments carry a wide range of accouterments to compliment the set. Perhaps one considerably unique inclusion is an unassuming USB device. In it, you will be able to find detailed information about the collection, as well as some key attributes that are specific to the watch model.
A polishing cloth in the same color palette as the box is also part of the kit and can be found neatly rolled up in one of the compartments. Though stamped with the brand name, the cloth is made up of a soft material that leaves no streaks or scuff marks when used on your luxurious watch.
One other striking component included in the set is the Vacheron Constantin Harmony Dual Time Passport. This well-designed little black book contains a guarantee card, also known as a warranty card. Clear sleeves ensure that it remains protected and easily accessible for when the time comes that you do need to use it. Succeeding pages contain text in multiple languages as well as sections for recording any repairs made to the piece.
For those who are looking for further proof of origin and conformity, a Poinçon de Genève can be found in one of the sleeve inserts. This Geneva Seal is a certification awarded to a limited number. Annually, only about 10,000 watches receive the Poinçon de Genève and the Vacheron Constantin Dual Time is one of them. As you may have already noticed, the brand prides itself in quality craftsmanship which is evident from the box and its accompanying accessories. Therefore, it should come as no surprise for their wristwatches to exceed all expectations.

Breaking Down the Vacheron Constantin Ladies Wristwatch
Now that we’ve tackled every inch of its gorgeous box and travel case, let’s move onto the crown jewel itself – the Constantin Harmony Dual Time women’s watch. Priced at a whopping $50,000 US dollars, this isn’t your run-of-the-mill timepiece. Marvel at the striking cushion-shaped case with a dial that’s surrounded by 88 white round-cut diamonds. With a total weight of 1.2cts, these diamonds are an easy showstopper.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that all that glitz is beautifully offset by the round dial and the rose gold tone of the hardware, and its delicate pinkish strap. As the name would suggest, the Vacheron ladies watch has a dual time display with the second timezone shown in a smaller sub-dial at the bottom right corner and an indicator for day and night on the left.
To further capture the beauty and elegance of the piece, the hands on the dials are leaf-shaped and slender. But before you think this watch is out of surprises, think again! Flip over the timepiece and you will be regaled with a clear view of its inner workings thanks to its open-back. Visible aside from the usual wheels and cogs is a gold rotor. Made of 22ct gold, the rotor generates energy from the wearer’s wrist movements and extends the power reserve between windings. In true Vacheron craftsmanship, no component is lacking in design. The thin gold disc spins in style with a mesmerizing beveled pattern.

Besides the self-generating power, you can also wind the watch to have as much as 40 hours of energy stored for use.
More details are on the underside to help identify the watch and authenticate it. Similar product info can be seen on the strap, making it easy to take the Vacheron Constantin Harmony watch in for repairs without having to locate the little passport that came with the set. A Geneva seal can also be spotted engraved into one of the mechanical pieces. It cannot be stressed enough how important the presence of the seal is, since it does signify utmost quality. This further assures watch owners that the Vacheron ladies’ watch is manufactured and includes parts made only in Geneva.
What’s to Love About the Vacheron Constantin Harmony Dual Time Watch
There is no denying that watches can be found anywhere. Even fast fashion brands roll out wristwatches now and then. But what truly separates the Vacheron is the art piece you will be sporting on your wrist. Rather than owning a disposable accessory, you instead have a jewelry piece that will remain timeless (pardon the pun) for many many years to come.

No fancy smartwatch or integrated app on your mobile phone can ever compete with the luxurious well-made Vacheron Constantin Harmony Dual Time. At the end of the day, the real question is, what’s not to love?
