Cartier Small Juste Un Clou with Diamonds Unboxing & Detail Review
In this video, we take a close look at the small Juste un Clou with diamonds and compare it to similar pieces in Cartier’s jewelry range. Read on as we divulge what makes this divine statement piece a must have in your bracelet collection.
Initial Presentation
Juste un Clou is a term in French which translates to just a nail, and this latest addition from the high-end luxury French brand is from Cartier’s new line of “silhouettes for jewelry.” Our unboxing journey begins with the exterior wrapping, composed of high end glossy white paper with a wax seal on either side, a unique detail from Cartier which never fails to disappoint. Removing the wax seal and pulling away the paper, reveals the iconic glossy red Cartier scarlet box, which we open to reveal the classic Cartier jewelry box, scarlet with gold embossing around the edges.
A brochure is included in this newest addition to the Juste un Clou jewelry range, which includes an updated manual with diagrams that demonstrate how to attach your bracelet. Please note this is intended exclusively for the thin or small size Juste un Clou, as the regular sized Juste un Clou has a different opening mechanism.
Opening the jewelry box, we reveal a small size Juste un Clou with diamond detailing on the nail head and the nail. It is a part of the smaller Juste un Clou series which is a thinner version of the regular Juste un Clou.

Juste Un Clou Collection
The Juste un Clou collection starts with the small size Juste un Clou, available in rose gold and yellow gold for $3200 USD each. The piece we are examining in this review is the newest addition of the Cartier Luxury series, the small Juste un Clou with diamonds which features approximately 0.18 carat worth stones when added together. This upgrade comes in at $4,500 USD plus tax.
Next in line is the iconic regular-sized Juste un Clou, available in rose gold, yellow gold and white gold. Rose and yellow gold come in at around $7100 USD, whilst the white gold version, the more expensive metal in luxury jewelry, is slightly higher at $7600. To upgrade to a regular size Juste un Clou with diamonds, you are looking at a starting price of $11,800 plus taxes.
And for those with a larger budget and an eye for bling, there is the option of the Pavé Juste un Clou, which is the statement piece of the collection, costing $49,000 USD. Pavé is a service Cartier offers with both Juste un Clou and Love bracelets for the fortunate amongst us.

Small Juste Un Clou With Diamonds
Today’s review focusses on the small Juste un Clou with diamonds. We have previously compared the regular Juste un Clou with the small Juste un Clou without diamonds, which you can watch here.
It is immediately evident that the Juste un Clou with diamonds possesses far more charm then the plain Juste un Clou. The detailing of the nail head captivates, glistening with stones, whilst the tail of the nail has two stones with three markings following. It is interesting to observe that the sides facing outwards and away from the bracelet have three markings and the sides facing the wrist and towards the bracelet have two markings. The nail head is wrapped with a round of sparkling diamonds, which immediately catch the eye. Please note that the diamonds appear a lot bigger on the screen then in person due to the zoom. The diamonds have been flawlessly set within the nail head, a true reflection of the perfectionism of the Cartier brand.

The golden wire of the bracelet is bendable but carries weight, so it doesn’t feel cheap, and the inside of the bracelet retains the classic Cartier engraving and model number, which marks it as an authentic issue.
The bracelet has an elegant oval shape which fits most wrists, but it is important to select the right size. I chose size 16 for my wrist with the Juste un Clou, as it is the perfect sister size for my Love bracelet which is size 17. The overall appearance provides a dainty statement piece enhanced by the diamond setting on the nail head and the end of the nail.

Instruction Manual
The Juste un Clou comes with an instruction manual which features simple diagrams showing you how to slide the bracelet on and off. Initially, Cartier released a video displaying how to slide it on. Now you find the best way right at your fingertips. The manual instructs you to lay your wrist flat and use the opening to twist the bracelet on. I tried it on and off several times and noticed there was no gap in between the nail head and the nail, as the bracelet is a flexible, bendable piece of wire made from gold.

Conclusion
I’m comparing the small Juste un Clou with diamonds against the Love bracelet and the regular Juste un Clou, which has a significantly thicker gold band. The small Juste un Clou is far smaller by comparison but adds an attractive additional layer to the overall look when worn together.
The lack of opening between the nail head and nail in the bendable space, confirms that it is an extremely well-made luxury item, and a must have if you like the shape of the nail. The Juste un Clou with diamonds is a far bigger statement than the plain piece, and well worth the price upgrade for the inclusion of the diamonds. I prefer this style over the small Love bracelet because it’s edgy and recognizable to those who love and know jewelry. It is well priced compared to other pieces in the collection, and an ideal starter bracelet for someone starting out their Cartier collection, or who loves smaller and daintier pieces.
